Playlist’s second major AI launch this summer, Customized Websites gives Mindbody and Booker customers fully managed sites with built-in booking tools

Playlist is moving quickly to build out its suite of AI-powered tools for fitness and wellness operators.

The parent company of Mindbody, ClassPass and EGYM has launched “Customized Websites,” a new service that uses AI to build and maintain websites for fitness studios, spas, salons and other experience-based businesses. It’s the second AI-powered service to launch on the Playlist platform following the debut of AI Concierge last month.

Available to Mindbody and Booker customers at no additional cost, Customized Websites provides operators with professionally designed, custom-branded sites that can be ready within a few business days. Scheduling, pricing and booking tools are integrated directly with Mindbody or Booker.

Playlist is positioning the service as an alternative to operators building their own websites or hiring outside developers, which the company says can cost as much as $10,000 while still requiring ongoing maintenance.

The new sites automatically sync schedules and pricing with an operator’s business software, allowing customers to book directly online rather than forcing businesses to manage their website and booking system separately.

Playlist Builds Out Its AI Platform

“Small businesses shouldn’t need a five-figure budget to have a world-class digital presence,” Playlist CEO and co-founder Fritz Lanman said.

Lanman said the websites are designed not only to surface in traditional web searches but also when consumers use AI assistants to find businesses, while Playlist’s latest booking widgets and AI Concierge are built directly into the experience.

“It’s the Playlist platform coming to life: growth tools shared across our software brands, so operators can spend less time managing technology and more time creating the real-life experiences their clients love,” he said.

Customized Websites marks the latest piece of Playlist’s push to embed AI into the technology fitness and wellness businesses use to run their operations.

In July, Playlist launched AI Concierge, a 24/7 virtual front desk assistant capable of answering missed calls, responding to client inquiries and automatically booking appointments. The tool was the first product unveiled as part of Playlist’s new suite of AI-powered solutions.

Rather than operating as a standalone chatbot, AI Concierge connects with an operator’s existing business data, including services, pricing, availability and client history, allowing it to take actions such as booking classes and appointments.

Customized Websites brings those capabilities into another key part of the customer journey. For operators on Mindbody Ultimate plans, the websites automatically bundle AI Concierge with Attentive, an SMS and email marketing integration. Playlist also handles ongoing website maintenance and updates.

Playlist says it has already launched hundreds of Customized Websites during a pilot of the service. Each site is generated by AI in minutes before being reviewed and launched by the company’s team.

One beta customer saw bookings increase by more than 126% in the month after launching its new website, according to Playlist.
