As competitive fitness booms, Austin, Texas-based gym Korrect Fitness is giving athletes the chance to sample five of the fastest-growing formats

Korrect Fitness is convening five rival fitness competitions for a single event — its first KRCT Comp Showcase.

The Austin, Texas gym, formerly known as Onnit, hosts the showcase on Friday, August 14, from 4 to 7 p.m., giving attendees a firsthand look at each competition, a chance to sit in on 15-minute informational sessions and the opportunity to take part in workouts.

The featured competitions span the field:

“Competition should feel approachable,” Korrect Fitness experience manager Daneeka Holt said. “Whether someone is preparing for their first event or looking for their next challenge, the KRCT Comp Showcase is designed to help people start where they are and connect with the community that will get them to the start line.”

Local gyms, vendors and coaches will also be on site. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online.

Xenom, for its part, staged its own debut in June, pulling nearly 400 athletes to the Cowboys’ Frisco stadium with $75,000 on the line. The brand is well funded, backed by $15 million in venture capital funding from Jeffrey Katzenberg’s Wndr.

Hyrox is enjoying its own moment in the sun. The fitness-racing giant expects to top 2 million athletes in the 2026/27 season, up from the more than 1.5 million who raced the year before and just released a calendar running 107 race weekends across six continents. New host cities include San Diego, Portland, Oregon, Bari, Italy and Nagoya, Japan. Demand in its biggest markets has grown so strong that some events will stretch into residencies as long as 10 days.

Korrect Fitness offers its own hybrid athlete sessions and runs on a tiered membership model for its members. Its Core plan includes unlimited open gym, cold plunge and sauna, while the Essential tier adds hybrid athlete sessions, group classes and unlimited Black Swan Yoga. The highest level, an Optimized membership, includes private training.

Over the next 6–12 months, Korrect Fitness members can expect facility enhancements such as the renovation of its sauna and recovery space, the addition of new weightlifting equipment, expanded programming and new partnerships, Holt told ATN.

The goal, she added, is to bring Austin’s growing but often disconnected fitness communities under one roof.

“We’re also expanding our calendar with more lifestyle and athlete-focused experiences, workshops and events,” Holt said. “We’re excited to continue highlighting local businesses and wellness brands, including partners within our membership, while creating more opportunities for brands to connect directly with athletes and the broader fitness community.”
