High Performance Life Time has hit the quarter-century milestone with its 25th HPLT Summit, coming to New York City on May 14-16.

The event, presented in partnership with Land Rover Defender and hosted at Life Time 5th Avenue, will see a group of 40 attendees participate in a performance-focused, fully immersive experience centered on physical challenge, mental resilience and forging connections.

Alongside a speaker lineup featuring Brian Koppelman, Nicky Cass, Bill Shufelt, and Navy SEALs Kaj Larsen and Travis Miller, the summit will also include a chilly Navy Seal Buds Experience in the Atlantic Ocean, a trail run at Cedar Lakes and multiple workouts hosted at Life Time.

Each attendee is encouraged to push beyond their comfort zone, as they also train and participate in Destination Defender on May 16, Land Rover’s three-day event featuring a mix of off-road driving, live music, culinary experiences and wellness activities in the Hudson Valley.

Life Time first integrated with High Performance last year, acquiring the Brian Mazza-founded brand known for immersive, in-person wellness and performance experiences. The deal folded HPLT into Life Time’s offerings, giving members access to exclusive retreats, self-development workshops and high-intensity fitness challenges.

Other top companies such as Kane Footwear, Slate Chocolate Milk, Ketone IQ, Athletic Brewing, Whoop, Vital Proteins, Salomon, Reebok and Ten Thousand have also previously partnered with HPLT, seeing the power of in-person engagement to boost visibility and accelerate growth through on-the-ground connections.

Additional HPLT Summit events are set for Boston (July 25) and Austin, Texas (October 15-17) this year.

The High Performance Life Time partnership arrived in the midst of a boom in in-person fitness and wellness events, as consumers are increasingly demanding experiences that help cultivate community around healthy lifestyles.

Since then, Life Time has continued to build out its in-person event portfolio, recently acquiring the Phoenix 10K to tap into the ongoing running boom being leveraged by more and more brands.

The luxury operator has been busy on other fronts as well, continuing to expand its brick-and-mortar clubs across the U.S., launching its own fitness competition and expanding Miora, its in-club wellness health clinic offering GLP-1s among other services.
