The deal will initially cover Vasa locations in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Oklahoma and Illinois, giving members access to equipment and training environments designed around the popular fitness-racing format. The companies plan to expand the offering to additional Vasa clubs in the future. Participating locations will feature wall-ball target zones, weighted medicine balls built to Hyrox competition specifications, push/pull sleds on Vasa’s turf and battle ropes. “At Vasa, we’re constantly innovating our fitness offerings to meet members where they are and give them access to the experiences that excite them most,” Vasa CEO Michael Osanloo said. “Our partnership with Hyrox is the next step, giving members another powerful way to get stronger and train with purpose.” Vasa and Hyrox will also host Hyrox Training Day open houses at participating clubs on Oct. 3, giving members and prospective members a chance to try the training format. Vasa, which operates 72 gyms across nearly 10 states in the Midwest and Mountain regions, stressed that the partnership isn’t solely for people preparing for a Hyrox race. The equipment and training can also be used by members interested in functional strength and endurance workouts. The Vasa agreement comes just weeks after fellow high-value, low-price (HVLP) operator EoS Fitness unveiled an expansive Hyrox partnership covering an initial 25 U.S. gyms. Hyrox has also partnered with major fitness brands including Orangetheory Fitness, F45 Training and World Gym, while Peloton became its official digital training partner earlier this year. An agreement with gym management platform Wodify has helped extend official Hyrox programming to affiliated independent gyms and studios as well. The strategy is helping Hyrox establish a presence inside gyms between its increasingly popular race weekends, turning the competition format into something consumers can train for year-round. “We believe the sport of Hyrox can be trained inside every fitness facility around the world in the same way you go to yoga or HIIT class,” Hyrox chief growth officer Douglas Gremmen previously told Athletech News. The Vasa deal also arrives days after Hyrox entered a new era of ownership. Earlier this week, Infront Sports & Media sold its majority stake in the fitness-racing brand to a consortium led by private equity firm L Catterton, with Hyrox co-founders Christian Toetzke and Moritz Fürste and venture capital firm Wndr joining as partners. Financial terms weren’t disclosed, although Bloomberg previously reported a valuation of roughly $700 million. Hyrox expects participation to surpass 2 million athletes during its 2026/27 season as it continues expanding its global race calendar and year-round training ecosystem.
