Developed by Broadcastvision Entertainment, AudioFetch transmits television audio over a facility’s Wi-Fi network. Members connect to the network, open the AudioFetch app and select the channel they want to hear through their phone and personal headphones. The technology offers an alternative to wired cardio-equipment connections and shared listening devices while giving members more control over their in-club entertainment. “GoodLife Fitness is widely recognized for its commitment to providing an exceptional fitness experience for its members,” Broadcastvision Entertainment COO Mark Blake said. “We are proud that AudioFetch has been selected to support that experience by giving members a simple, reliable and convenient way to hear television audio directly through their own mobile devices.” Available for iOS and Android, AudioFetch does not require listeners to create an account or submit personal information, according to the company. Its commercial systems can accommodate multiple audio channels and scale from hundreds to thousands of simultaneous users, depending on the configuration and supporting Wi-Fi infrastructure. For GoodLife, the deployment adds another digital touchpoint to its member experience. The Canadian fitness operator already uses mobile technology for club access, class bookings and on-demand workouts. Broadcastvision did not disclose how many GoodLife clubs are participating, which locations will receive the technology or the financial terms of the agreement.
