Oura Taps Investor Relations VP

Smart ring maker Oura has appointed Michael DeLalio as vice president of investor relations ahead of its planned IPO on the US markets later this year.

DeLalio joins after five years leading IR at DraftKings. Prior to that, he was vice president, equity research at Morgan Stanley and a credit research associate at Fidelity Investments.

In a post on LinkedIn, DeLalio said: “Three things drew me to Oura: its mission, its people and the significant opportunity ahead. I’ve spent my career studying and working with companies through periods of growth and transformation. I look forward to helping investors understand our strategy, execution and long-term opportunity.”

Kristen M. Beavers Joins Hyperwear as Science Advisor

Hyperwear, the functional fitness brand behind the Hyper Vest weighted vest, Hyper Ruck, and SandBell training tools, announced that Kristen M. Beavers, PhD, MPH, RD, has agreed to become its first Science Advisor.

Dr. Beavers is a researcher whose work spans metabolic health, physical function, aging, body composition, nutrition, and exercise science. In her advisory role, she will provide outside scientific guidance to support Hyperwear’s evidence-informed product development and education around loaded movement, weighted vests, rucking, nutrition, aging, and the company’s Metabolic Strength™ mission.

“Interest in weighted vests, rucking, and loaded movement is growing quickly, especially among people thinking about strength, aging, body composition, and long-term health,” said Dirk Buikema, founder and CEO of Hyperwear. “That growth creates a responsibility to educate responsibly. Dr. Beavers’ guidance will help us build a stronger science foundation while staying clear about what research does and does not show.”

Hyperwear’s Science Advisor initiative is part of a broader effort to create more responsible consumer education around external load, functional strength, and progressive movement. The company’s goal is to help people understand how tools such as weighted vests, cooling vests, rucking and strength training gear fit into a broader fitness and wellness routine, without overstating claims or replacing qualified medical guidance.

Dr. Beavers’ advisory role is educational and consultative. It does not constitute product endorsement, product testing, clinical validation, medical advice, certification, or institutional endorsement.

Gymshark Names Chief Supply Chain Officer

Matt Rogers has been appointed as Gymshark’s chief supply chain officer. 

Rogers joined Gymshark in 2023 as supply chain director.

Over the past few years, Rogers helped strengthen and evolve the supply chain, and more recently, has been performing the function of interim general manager for sourcing and supply chain. 

In his new role, Rogers will be responsible for overseeing the brand’s entire supply chain — from sourcing across multiple geographies, through manufacturing of the product to freight, logistics and customer delivery.

Prior to Gymshark, Rogers spent 10 years at Asos as group supply chain director. He’s also held senior roles at DHL and House of Fraser.

Giuliano Heads to Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo has hired Anthony Giuliano as managing director and head of beauty and wellness within consumer and retail investment banking.

Giuliano joins the firm from Perella Weinberg, where he was a partner. He previously held investment banking leadership roles at Nomura and Barclays. In his new position, he reports to Vik Bhardwaj, head of consumer and retail investment banking at Wells Fargo.

“Anthony brings deep experience advising leading beauty and wellness clients on some of their most important transactions and business evolutions, and we look forward to the experience and expertise he’ll bring to our platform and clients,” Bhardwaj said in a statement.

Commenting on the role, Giuliano noted the sector’s momentum: “The beauty and wellness sector is evolving rapidly, and I’m thrilled to join Wells Fargo and bring the full breadth of the firm’s capabilities to our clients as they navigate that growth and evolution.”

Over the past two decades, Giuliano has advised on more than 100 transactions across the beauty and wellness categories. His client history includes key industry players such as the Estée Lauder Cos., Procter & Gamble, L’Oréal, Shiseido, Henkel, Edgewell, Colgate, Unilever, and Coty. His deal roster includes advising Estée Lauder on its $2.8 billion acquisition of Tom Ford, advising KKR on its $4.3 billion purchase of Wella, and advising Henkel on its acquisition of Not Your Mother’s Haircare.
