Vaura Pilates Expands to California, Offering Franchise Opportunities for Sensory-Driven Reformer Studios

Vaura Pilates, the Australian-born brand redefining reformer Pilates with sensory-driven, athletic training, is officially opening up franchise opportunities in California as part of its rapid U.S. expansion.

After launching its first U.S. studio on New York’s Upper East Side in early 2024, Vaura is set to open its second location in Austin this summer. The brand now has its sights set on California, alongside additional targets including Miami, Dallas, Phoenix, Toronto, and beyond.

“California is a natural next step as we expand Vaura’s elevated, immersive approach to Pilates,” said Tom Dowd, CEO of Vaura. “We’re delivering an entirely new category of Pilates—personalized, high-intensity, and designed to transform the way people experience movement.”

Vaura’s 50-minute sessions pair strength, flexibility, and HIIT with a fully immersive atmosphere — think mirrored ceilings, dynamic lighting, and energizing soundscapes. The studio offers five class formats, including full-body conditioning, prenatal options, and high-intensity circuits that go far beyond traditional Pilates.

Part of the FIT House of Brands (alongside F45 Training and FS8), Vaura is building momentum as boutique fitness continues its post-pandemic boom, offering franchisees proven business models and global operational support as the brand scales across major metropolitan markets.
