Pilates Gets the Festival Treatment at Bodybar’s PLANKstock

Party on the mat: Bodybar Pilates studios are hosting their annual plank-filled bash May 3

In honor of National Pilates Day on May 3, Bodybar Pilates studios across the country are gearing up to host their annual PLANKstock celebration on the first Saturday of May. The community-driven festival brings Pilates enthusiasts together with a core-focused workout that ends in a plank challenge.

Participating studios are offering free mat Pilates classes and other special events. For instance, Bodybar Pleasant Hill in California is offering guests complimentary assisted stretches, chair massages, a tie-dye tee station and a Beyond Yoga pop-up shop. 

In New Jersey, Bodybar Washington Township will feature a live DJ, drinks and snacks, plank competitions and giveaways. Interested individuals can check their local Bodybar studio here to see what events and offerings are planned for Plankstock.

The upscale Pilates franchise — which has appeared on both  Inc.’s 5000 list of fastest-growing companiesand Entrepreneur’s Top 500 Franchises for the second year in a row — grew to nearly 50 studios in 2024.

This year, Bodybar Pilates plans to expand its retail offerings with curated apparel and product collaborations that reflect the interests of its 12,000 members, along with enhancements that support and elevate the member experience. The Pilates franchise has 115 signed territories and recently opened studios in Bradenton, Florida; Hoover-Knox Square, Alabama; Oak Park, Illinois; Pearland, Texas and Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
