Perspire Sauna Heats Up Expansion Plans Amid ‘Wellness Boom’
The infrared and red-light therapy brand has 30 signed franchise agreements and will increase its footprint in Florida, among other plans
Perspire Sauna Studio, an infrared and red-light therapy franchise brand, is experiencing rapid and continued expansion as consumers are increasingly opting for boutique wellness experiences.
The wellness franchise has 30 signed agreements, including two multi-unit deals that will see 13 studios in southwest Florida. Founded in 2010 by Lee Braun, Perspire plans to expand to major markets throughout the U.S.
Jackie Mendes, Perspire Sauna Studio’s vice president of franchise development, says the demand for holistic health options is evident in the licenses Perspire Sauna Studio has awarded in the past quarter and is a testament to the appeal of holistic wellness.
“The demand for infrared sauna and red-light therapy continues to grow,” Mendes said. “Our 10+ years of experience in this business puts Perspire Sauna Studio franchisees in the unique position to capitalize on the wellness boom quickly with a brand that’s proven to scale.”
In Q2, California-based Perspire opened three new studios, all of which are second locations with existing franchisees and will expand in eight new territories, including New York, where a franchisee recently signed a 3-unit deal.
“As the world recognizes the importance of self-care, we are honored to be at the forefront, empowering others to embrace the transformative power of heat, healing and harmony,” Mendes tells ATN. “Our growth mirrors (the) need to lead a healthier, more balanced life.”
Unlike a traditional sauna setting, Perspire uses an infrared sauna with light colors, including red light, to create heat. Instead of heating the air, the full-spectrum infrared sauna heats the body directly for restoration. Guests can select from one of six color lights to meet the goals of their sauna session and unwind with stretching and meditation, as well as enjoy streaming TV or music. After the session, clients can refresh with a cold eucalyptus towel provided by Perspire.
“This remarkable growth is a testament to the dedication and passion of our team here at Perspire as we look forward to spreading the warmth of wellness to even more communities across Florida, New York, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Louisiana,” Braun said.
