The New Jersey-based strength and conditioning franchise will host its third annual Alpha Games: The Main Event on Saturday, Oct. 3, at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, bringing together more than 1,550 athletes and 750 teams for the operator’s largest fitness showcase to date. The sold-out, members-only competition will feature athletes from all 20 existing Alpha Fit Club studios, along with members representing upcoming East Coast locations, as the brand moves toward nearly 30 studios by the end of 2026. For Alpha Fit Club, the event is designed to give members something increasingly valuable in the age of Hyrox and the broader fitness racing boom: a reason to train toward a competition without leaving the brand’s ecosystem. “Rather than competing in another brand’s event, Alpha Games is ours, built at scale, for a community that trains hard and shows up for each other every single day,” Alpha Fit Club founder and CEO Sam Tooley said. “Alpha Games is the one day a year where our entire community comes together to celebrate what they’ve been building,” he added. “With families cheering from the stands and kids watching their parents compete, it becomes less about the workout and more about the people beside you.” The previous two Alpha Games events were held at the Westfield Armory, a 20,000-square-foot military base in Westfield, N.J. Alpha Games translates the franchise’s signature combination of strength and conditioning into a doubles-format race spanning seven movements. Teams will tackle a 1,000-meter SkiErg, 60 dumbbell thrusters, 80 calories on an air bike, 50 medicine ball sit-ups, a 1,000-meter row, 60 burpees and a one-mile run on an Arc curved treadmill. Men’s, women’s and mixed doubles divisions will compete, with waves launching every 15 minutes. The event will take over American Dream’s full-size ice rink, with two floors of balcony seating overlooking the competition. A DJ booth, recovery lounge, beer garden, merchandise store and vendor village will turn the race into a broader fitness festival for competitors and spectators. Athletifreak, BodyArmor, Fleet Feet, JUNK, Smartwater and Spear Physical Therapy are also supporting the event. Spectating is free and open to the public. The expanding Alpha Games comes at an important time for Alpha Fit Club. Founded in Westfield, New Jersey, in 2019, the brand has sold more than two dozen franchise territories over the past year as it looks to grow beyond its home state and establish itself as a national fitness franchise. Alpha Fit Club currently operates 20 studios and expects to approach 30 by the end of the year. Upcoming markets include West Palm Beach, Florida; Fairfield, Connecticut; Philadelphia and Chalfont, Pennsylvania; and Larchmont, New York. As the strength and conditioning franchise expands across the East Coast, its annual Alpha Games gives members a competition of their own Alpha Fit Club...
