Zumba marks 25 years with a free, all-ages dance fitness class in Times Square, bringing its global instructor community to the heart of NYC

You only turn 25 once, and Zumba, the ever-youthful leader in dance fitness, is taking it to Times Square.

The fitness brand will party it up with its high-energy instructors to lead a free Zumba class on April 29 on the Broadway Plaza between 46th and 47th St., hosted by the Times Square Alliance.

Registration is now open for the all-ages event here

Zumba began as a single class and, thanks to the dedication of our instructors and the passion of students around the world, has grown into a true global movement,” Zumba CEO Alberto Perlman said. “Celebrating in Times Square feels especially meaningful, and pairs a beloved brand with an iconic stage. Our 25th Anniversary isn’t about looking back. It’s about honoring the feeling and connection that makes Zumba what it is today, and using that momentum to fuel what comes next.”

While the anniversary celebration in Times Square will stick to Zumba’s signature cardio-driven format, the company has recently pushed into strength training. Its new Zumba + Lift program introduces resistance work using light weights, layering strength segments into its music-led classes as demand for weight training continues to grow.
