Life Fitness Names Jim Pisani as New CEO

Pisani will take over as CEO effective immediately, with Paul Stoneham becoming a senior advisor to the Life Fitness board of directors

Life Fitness has announced Jim Pisani as its new CEO, making him the commercial fitness equipment giant’s fourth chief executive in the last four years.

The move, which is effective immediately, includes outgoing CEO Paul Stoneham transitioning to a senior advisor to the Life Fitness board of directors. Stoneham began serving Life Fitness as CEO in November 2021. Life Fitness was led by Chris Clawson between July 2019 and November 2021 and Jason Worthy before that.

Pisani arrives at the commercial fitness equipment company with 25 years of experience leading the expansions of global outdoor, recreation and sports apparel brands, recently serving as CEO of the outdoor and recreation business segment of Newell Brands. 

Before Newell, the new Life Fitness CEO served as global president of Timberland. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University and his MBA from Lewis University.

Life Fitness, based in Franklin Park, Illinois, presented its latest generation of cardio, strength and digital solutions innovations at IHRSA 2023, including the Life Fitness Integrity+ SE4 Console cardio line, Life Fitness Aspire+ SL Console, Life Fitness Indoor Cycle IC7, Hammer Strength Performance and Life Fitness LFX.
