Peloton conquered the living room. Now, backed by Precor’s 45 years of commercial muscle, it’s taking on the gym floor

Peloton, the connected fitness company forging a deeper path into connected wellness, is moving beyond its at-home roots — and it’s making that leap with Precor as a part of the newly minted Peloton Commercial Business Unit (CBU). With over 45 years of commercial fitness expertise and more than 100,000 customers across 60 countries, Precor brings exactly the commercial reach and industrial engineering depth the expansion demands.

What is new from Precor | Peloton?

Earlier this year, the CBU introduced the Peloton Commercial Series, a line of connected fitness equipment for commercial environments— including a bike and treadmill. This new line of connected fitness equipment blends Peloton’s digital experience and stunning design with Precor’s industrial-grade engineering and global reach.

“The collaboration has been very well received,” said Travis Vaughan, Precor’s Senior Director of Product Management. “We’re so excited to bring what we’ve developed within the Peloton business to the commercial fitness market. Together, we are creating solutions for our customers that meet them wherever they are – at home or on the gym floor.”

When designing the Peloton Commercial Series bike and treadmill, Precor and Peloton leaned on each other’s expertise, tying Peloton’s library of trainer-led workouts to Precor’s durable designs, engineered to withstand the demands of high-use fitness environments. The treadmill, for instance, is engineered to withstand the demands of commercial environments — separating the commercial-grade equipment from its consumer counterparts.

“When you look at the products, you see the Precor DNA at the foundation, with the Peloton design and experience overlaid,” Vaughan said.

Peloton’s content and user experience are designed to elevate any commercial fitness space. By bringing the familiar Peloton experience into a purpose-built commercial environment, the CBU has created a solution that delivers comfort and connection for members while supporting the unique needs of operators.

The immediate, positive reaction from both members and operators, to the Peloton Commercial Series coming out of HFA, NIRSA and FIBO have only reinforced Precor and Peloton’s belief that meeting members everywhere remains a priority.

Evolving Peloton’s Portfolio

While these are sizable steps for Peloton into the commercial fitness space, they weren’t the brand’s first. Last year, Peloton launched its Pro Series, which features updated versions of the Tread+ Pro, Bike+ Pro, Row+ Pro and Bike Pro, which are designed for light-use commercial environments like hotels and residential buildings.

By evolving the product portfolio for high-use commercial gyms, Peloton is now accessible at-home and in commercial environments for not only members, but those who are new to the brand. “Exercisers are interested in the Peloton experience, even those who have never used it before,” Vaughan said. “Knowing this made it an easy decision to invest and push harder into the commercial market with the Peloton experience.”

What is Next for Precor | Peloton?

Both Precor and Peloton believe the best is yet to come from their collaborative efforts. From a product management perspective, Vaughan expects the partnership to continue changing how the brands approach innovation cycles and unlock new connected fitness opportunities for gym operators.

“We are just starting to scratch the surface on this,” he said. “The teams are learning from each other on a daily basis as the new entity continues to take shape. It’s clear we’re going to accomplish some amazing things.”

“This is a pivotal moment,” said Ean Reves, President of Precor and General Manager of Peloton’s Commercial Business Unit. “We’re combining Precor’s commercial engineering and global reach with Peloton’s content and connected experience — and the response from operators at HFA, NIRSA, and FIBO has made clear that the market is ready for exactly this.”

At least for the time being, the Peloton Commercial Series is the flagship result of those efforts by the CBU. The bike and treadmill are slated for initial shipping in Fall 2026, with global availability — including rollout into Germany, the UK, and additional international markets — targeted for early 2027.

The CBU’s broader commercial push was also on display at all three events through an expanded Precor lineup, including the Discovery GHD Bench, Breakaway Slat Belt Treadmill, and Stages Cycling, positioning the connected cardio series as the centerpiece of a much larger commercial offering.
