The software and payments provider has acquired Alaris, a childcare management and compliance platform designed for health clubs, YMCAs, JCCs, Boys & Girls Clubs and other operators offering services such as Kids Club, Child Watch, camps and after-school programs. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. The acquisition gives Daxko technology for managing some of the more complex aspects of on-site childcare, including staff-to-child ratios, attendance, meals, medications and licensing requirements. “Childcare is one of the most trusted responsibilities a health club, YMCA, JCC, or Boys & Girls Club can take on, and staff deserve tools that match that responsibility,” Daxko CEO Jeff VanDixhorn said. “Bringing the Alaris team into Daxko means our customers can spend less time on manual compliance and more time focusing on their most important priority: the safety, health, and happiness of the kids in their care.” For operators already using Daxko, Alaris’ childcare capabilities will be integrated into Daxko Operations, Daxko Core, Daxko Club Automation and Daxko FitnessForce, connecting childcare information with existing member, donor, program and operational data. Alaris will also remain available as a standalone product and continue integrating with third-party member management platforms. The technology allows families to check children in and out, receive real-time updates and monitor information including meals, diaper changes, lessons and medications. For operators, features include child-to-staff ratio enforcement, meal and snack tracking, state attendance submissions, security sticker printing and multilingual support. The deal adds another specialized capability to Daxko’s growing software portfolio. In June, Daxko acquired FitnessForce, a membership management platform serving operators in markets including India, Australia, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Daxko has also acquired Exercise.com, a gym management software company focused on boutique fitness, and Vision, a longtime software partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The software company kicked off 2026 by declaring an AI-first strategy and has also moved beyond traditional club management software with Elevate Wellness, a program designed to help fitness operators offer GLP-1 support and other telehealth services. Daxko says it now serves more than 19,000 fitness and wellness facilities across 68 countries.
