Arketa Raises $15M To Power Boutique Fitness Studios

The female-founded startup is modernizing boutique wellness with an all-in-one tech stack
Arketa, an AI-powered platform for boutique fitness studios founded in 2020 by a yoga instructor-turned-entrepreneur, has raised $15 million in Series A funding to accelerate product development and solidify its position in the boutique fitness software market.
Inspired Capital led the raise alongside existing investors First Round, Y Combinator, Amity and Velvet Sea.
Specializing in serving small and mid-sized operators, Arketa’s platform offers automated customer service, lead capture, dynamic booking tools, transparent pricing and marketing automation.

“As a certified yoga instructor, I witnessed firsthand how outdated technology frustrated fitness studios, alienating customers and stunting growth by failing to meet modern demands,” Arketa co-founder and CEO Rachel Lea Fishman said. “We founded Arketa to equip these professionals with cutting-edge tools to expand their reach, thrive and deliver the personalized, community-focused experiences today’s fitness enthusiasts seek. We are on a mission to build and distribute best-in-class technology to power the wellness sector, creating a new standard in what defines a modern tech stack.”

Arketa‘s platform also supports the boutique fitness industry’s push toward more experiential offerings, catering to a wide range of concepts, from traditional Pilates and yoga studios to niche formats like dog yoga and trampoline fitness centers.
“Arketa is emblematic of modern vertical software platforms – those focused on doing everything for their customers,” Inspired Capital’s Chris Brown said. “They may start with delightful execution on table stakes features like booking and payments. But they quickly expand to address the entirety of a company’s op-ex. Platforms like Arketa will become the distribution mechanism through which AI reaches global small and medium-sized businesses. In short order, running on anything else will feel crazy. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Rachel Lea and Josh as they build Arketa.”
