The round includes $10 million in venture capital and $6 million in debt financing, with participation from Shiseido, NextLevel Management, founders, family offices and roughly 50 angel investors. RSF Social Finance provided the debt financing. Apothékary considers the funding part of its Series A round and has now raised roughly $32 million across venture and debt financing. The company was founded in 2020 by Shizu Okusa, a former Goldman Sachs trader and founder of cold-pressed juice brand Jrink. The brand’s herbal drops draw from traditions including Japanese Kampo, traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and American herbalism, with products positioned around concerns such as stress, sleep, digestion and energy. Apothékary’s assortment includes more than 12 supplements priced at $39 each, with its metabolic booster Blue Burn emerging as its bestseller. The funding comes after the brand’s significant retail push. Apothékary entered Ulta Beauty in July 2025, Whole Foods Market in January and The Vitamin Shoppe in May, adding to existing distribution through Free People, Sprouts, Amazon and the company’s own e-commerce site. The brand is targeting $40 million in 2026 sales. Recent funding rounds for brands including Cymbiotika, Create Wellness and Perelel, among others, show that investors remain interested in the supplement category.
