The full-day event, which runs from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will feature a series of high-intensity strength, endurance and agility challenges drawn from the studio’s signature training program. A celebratory after-party presented by Celsius will follow the competition. Founded in 2014 by Alonzo Wilson, Tone House’s Turf Wars was designed to showcase the brand’s athletic ethos in a community-centric, competitive format. “The event continues to be one of the most celebrated days of the year for our community,” said Wilson. “It’s a chance to showcase who we are and what we do on our home turf.” New this year is the Gauntlet, a team-based category tailored to recreational and first-time competitors. Teams of four will take on 10 relay-style events designed to offer an accessible but still intense entry point. Turf Wars will also maintain its ongoing partnership with Special Olympics New York. Athletes are encouraged to create personal fundraising pages, with a collective goal of raising over $10,000 to support inclusive athletic programming. Special Olympics athletes will take the field in an exhibition round. All participants will receive performance gear from Adidas and the event will be supported by a lineup of sponsors, including Celsius, Hyperice, Spoonful, Made Meals, Engineered Nutrition, A Nutty Life and GORUCK, which is supplying weighted vests for the competition. On-site product demos and samples will be available for attendees. Originally a New York-based event, Turf Wars expanded to Toronto in 2024 as Tone House continues to build a broader community of competitive fitness enthusiasts. Early-bird pricing is available now but will increase after the holiday weekend.
