PickUp USA Fitness Drives to the Hoop in Manchester

The basketball and fitness franchise is meeting the moment with its New Hampshire location following several openings last year
Pickleball franchises may be plentiful, but PickUp USA Fitness is staying true to another type of court with its basketball-focused gym franchise model.
The brand just opened its latest location in Manchester, New Hampshire, following a successful soft opening—one of its most successful to date, according to PickUp USA—drawing basketball and fitness enthusiasts from across the region.
With the sport drawing more players and fans than ever, the new location arrives at just the right time. In recent weeks, C4 Energy has signed 128 collegiate basketball players for its C4 Bracket Breakers, selecting one player from each men’s and women’s basketball team to compete in upcoming collegiate events. Elsewhere, searches for the WNBA are surging, according to new findings.
The new Manchester location joins several others PickUp USA announced last year, including Charlotte, Des Moines, the greater Sacramento area, Boston, and Tampa Bay.
Behind the new facility are Bryon and Brooke Herbert, owner-operators who spent over 20 years in the corporate world before taking a shot in the basketball franchise space.
“We wanted to own our own business and found PickUp USA to be both interesting and unique,” Bryon said. “This club is an exciting opportunity to bring a high-quality basketball experience to Manchester, and the response from the community has been amazing.”
In addition to officiated basketball games for adult players, PickUp USA offers professional, one-on-one and group training for youth and adults, a fitness center and a youth development basketball league for younger athletes.
“This club is off to an incredible start,” PickUp USA chief operating officer Paolo Ontalan said. “Bryon and Brooke have done an outstanding job creating a great experience for their members, and we expect them to be one of our top-performing locations.”
