The Movement Club, a platform founded by Dancing with the Stars professional dancer and choreographer Lindsay Arnold, launched its new Pregnancy Program today. The program was created by Arnold during her second pregnancy, and is designed to guide and empower women from weeks 4 to 40. It provides a full schedule of pregnancy-safe workouts specific to each week or trimester.

The Movement Club is an online platform and newly launched app that has more than 150 workouts ranging from dance, cardio, yoga, sculpt and more. The Movement Club’s mission is to help women feel good moving their bodies, regardless of fitness level.

“As a dancer, movement has always been a big part of my life! I grew up loving to move my body because it made me feel good and when creating this program, I wanted to help others fall in love with moving their bodies! The Movement Club is meant to inspire women to move their bodies so they can feel good and confident,” Arnold told Athletech News.

“The Movement Club meets you where you’re at in your fitness journey and empowers women to show up for themselves each day without any requirements or intimidation,” she added. “I wanted to create a program that wasn’t about achieving a weight loss goal but more about how movement makes you feel good! All of my workouts are 30 minutes or less, and there’s something for everyone!”

Arnold was inspired to develop the Pregnancy Program because during her first pregnancy, she was unsure about how best to work out.

“I felt there wasn’t a program that gave me the direction and relatable encouragement I needed during that time,” she said. “I created this program because I wanted women to feel empowered during their pregnancy and to gain a true understanding of how beneficial prenatal fitness can be!”

After getting pre- and post-natal certified, Arnold built out a schedule for one’s entire pregnancy. She filmed the program while pregnant with her second child, and used her own experiences to influence its development.

“There is so much to be said about feeling the community and support of someone going through exactly what you are going through, and that’s what I want my members to feel when they begin their pregnancy fitness journey with me,” Arnold said.

Arnold welcomed her second daughter, June, last week, and has plans for a postpartum series.

“Postpartum recovery is a huge part of motherhood,” she noted. “I feel there’s a lack of programs that also focus on this and provide guidance to women! I cannot wait to begin filming this for my members!”
