ISSA, Reign Continue Scholarship Program for Aspiring Personal Trainers
Launched in 2020, the program has already transformed the lives and careers of 75 individuals, turning them into certified ISSA Master Trainers
In a bid to continue fostering the growth of fitness professionals, the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) and Reign Total Body Fuel have announced the return of their ISSA x Reign Scholarship Program for the fourth consecutive year. The scholarship provides selected recipients full tuition coverage for ISSA’s Master Trainer certification program, helping launch and accelerate their careers.
With growing health consciousness and demand for fitness experts and knowledgeable personal trainers, this scholarship nurtures individual careers while creating health advocates that strengthen communities. The ISSA x Reign Scholarship could provide the launch pad to a rewarding fitness career for those who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
Since its inception in 2020, this initiative, regarded as a stepping stone for many into the world of fitness, has already transformed the lives and careers of 75 individuals, turning them into certified ISSA Master Trainers. These trainers now serve as ambassadors for health and wellness, sharing their knowledge in local communities.
Abigail Sims, a 2021 scholarship recipient, shared how the program pivoted her career. She now specializes in adaptive personal training for disabled clients.
“The knowledge that I learned throughout my personal trainer certification course is invaluable,” Sims said. “I am incredibly grateful for everything that has empowered me to do for my clients.”
Wellness for All
The ISSA x Reign Scholarship provides more than financial assistance. Recipients gain access to the ISSA and Reign Ambassador Programs for further career development opportunities. This comprehensive program covers personal training, fitness nutrition, programming and more.

The scholarships are awarded to 25 individuals annually, and passionate fitness advocates who are dedicated to improving community health and wellness are encouraged to apply. The ISSA x Reign Scholarship Program is open to legal U.S., Canadian, and Puerto Rican residents over 18. Interested candidates can apply on ISSA’s website through November 1, 2023.
