The fitness software giant is extending its AI strategy beyond sales and member service, adding artificial intelligence tools designed to help personal trainers scale operations

ABC Fitness is expanding its artificial intelligence ambitions into personal training and coaching with the acquisition of FitMetrics, an AI-powered platform designed to help trainers manage more clients without sacrificing personalization.

The deal builds on ABC Fitness’ July acquisition of agentic AI platform Replify, giving the fitness software giant AI capabilities across two major parts of the gym business: member sales and service, and coaching.

FitMetrics, which will be used alongside ABC Trainerize, helps coaches centralize client information, analyze progress, automate check-ins and draft workout, nutrition and communication recommendations.

ABC says the platform can reduce repetitive administrative work while allowing coaches to serve more clients. Some FitMetrics customers reported doubling — and in some cases quadrupling — their coaching capacity, according to the company.

“ABC AI Agents are helping fitness businesses respond to prospects and members more quickly and consistently, but the opportunity extends well beyond the front desk,” ABC Fitness CEO Bill Davis said.

“FitMetrics brings that same practical approach to coaching, giving trainers more time to do what they do best,” he added.

Financial terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.

The FitMetrics deal comes shortly after ABC acquired Replify, whose AI agents handle prospect and member interactions across voice, text, email and chat.

FitMetrics founder Xenios Charalambous developed the platform after using ABC Trainerize while running his own coaching business. The technology consolidates client information and uses AI to assist with check-ins, progress analysis, programming, nutrition recommendations, communications and bulk administrative tasks.

Coaches remain responsible for reviewing and adapting those recommendations before applying them to clients.

“AI shouldn’t make coaching less personal,” Charalambous said. “It should give coaches more capacity to make it personal.”
