The carrier’s new FlyWell program brings wearables, nootropic shots and red light therapy to Business Class and crew, part of a growing wellness travel trend

There is no altitude too high for the wellness industry to reach.

Fiji Airways is the latest carrier to make a play for the wellness traveler, and it’s doing so with a cart of health-centric consumer brands.

The airline’s new FlyWell program, launching June 1, is bringing recovery, sleep and mental performance products into Business Class cabins on select flights between Nadi and San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The lineup includes Firefly Recovery, a wearable meant to support circulation during long-haul travel, Ra Optics Sunset Lenses, which help regulate light exposure and support in-flight sleep and Magic Mind, the mental performance shot brand.

The products will be complimentary for travelers for the first two months before transitioning to an on-board purchase model.

FlyWell also extends into the Premier Tabua Lounge at Nadi International Airport, where Vital Red Light will offer dedicated red light therapy spaces. Aires Tech, which makes EMF mitigation products, will be installed throughout the Premier Lounge. Both will also be available in the crew lounge.

“We set out to create something that genuinely makes a difference to the well-being of our guests and crew, going beyond traditional airline offerings with a thoughtfully curated suite of in-flight products and lounge experiences not typically seen in aviation,” Fiji Airways CEO and managing director Paul Scurrah said.

Fiji Airways says it will expand the program over time, introducing additional wellness offerings as it evolves.

Helping front the program is Da Rulk, Fiji Airways’ Wellness Champion and a performance and recovery specialist who has worked with athletes and celebrities.

“Travel places unique demands on the body, from disrupted sleep to fatigue and constant environmental stress,” Da Rulk said. “The Fiji Airways FlyWell program is about giving people practical, science-backed tools that work with the body, not against it.”

The launch puts Fiji Airways among other carriers that have moved into the wellness space in recent years.

Singapore Airlines has gone the nutrition and content route, partnering with Golden Door on in-flight wellness programming and farm-to-plane sourcing. Emirates has leaned on its plant-based menu expansion and the Timeless Spa in its premium lounges, while Virgin Atlantic’s LAX Clubhouse offers a Zen Den powered by smart fitness mirror Forme Studio.
