Ex-Atlanta Falcons Players Enter Fitness World With Legacy Sports Complex

Legacy Sports Complex has welcomed four former Falcons players to its ownership group as the brand eyes expansion in the Atlanta area

Legacy Sports Complex, a youth sports and fitness facility in suburban Atlanta, is bringing four former Atlanta Falcons players into its ownership group. Mohamed Sanu, Sean Weatherspoon, Christian Blake and Elijah Wilkinson have joined forces to expand Legacy Sports’ offerings and facility footprint.

Legacy Sports Complex, founded by Dustin Chovanic and Johnny Venters, opened in December 2022. Chovanic, a professional MMA and Muay Thai fighter and national karate champion, and Venters, a former MLB pitcher with the Atlanta Braves, had a shared vision: empowering the next generation of athletes to reach their full potential through expert coaching, innovative training methods, and a culture of teamwork.

In addition to their ownership stakes, Sanu, Weatherspoon, Blake, and Wilkinson will also serve as the core of the Legacy Football Division and are working towards expanding the Legacy Sports brand with new locations in the Atlanta area.

“We’re thrilled to have Mohamed Sanu, Sean Weatherspoon, Christian Blake, and Elijah Wilkinson join the Legacy family,” Chovanic said. “This partnership is monumental for our fast-growing brand, and it will undoubtedly elevate Legacy Sports Complex to incredible new heights. With them on board, Legacy Sports Complex will continue to offer a five-star sports and fitness experience to all.”
