The popular telehealth platform is expanding its partnership with the luxury fitness and wellness brand, offering Equinox members full access to Function for $249/month
Function Health, the at-home diagnostic testing platform co-founded by Dr. Mark Hyman, is expanding its partnership with Equinox to bring personalized healthcare insights directly to the luxury fitness and wellness operator’s members.
Previously, only Equinox Circle members had access to Function through Equinox Optimize, the $3,000-per-month luxury longevity membership the brand unveiled last year.
Now, the updated collaboration is extending the personalized, data-driven health solutions to all Equinox members for $249 per year, discounted down from Function’s normal price of $365 per year — the sides say it’s the lowest price available for the testing.
The expansion builds upon the companies’ recent joint venture in Equinox’s Women’s Health and Performance Initiative, which combines personalized training, advanced diagnostics and community-focused programming to address women’s evolving physiological needs from menstruation and fertility to postpartum and perimenopause.
Through the initiative, Function provides clinical-grade diagnostics and health insights specifically for women, with full-spectrum lab testing that includes more than 100 biomarkers and hormone panels. The initiative is aiming to ensure women’s training is informed by real biomarkers like hormone levels, nutrient imbalances and recovery metrics.
The two wellness brands first came together in 2024, when the telehealth company began supporting Equinox trainers in developing specialized programs for members based on their unique biological profiles with newfound access to personalized health data.
Function has been experiencing explosive growth since its launch in early 2023.
The brand just raised an oversubscribed $298 million Series B round at a $2.5 billion valuation and unveiled new AI features.
Amid its success, Function also decided to lower its annual membership to $365, down from $499, to make diagnostic testing more accessible to a broader consumer network.
Equinox’s push for longevity and wellness goes beyond diagnostic testing, though. The fitness brand’s hospitality arm is investing big in sleep, one of the core pillars of health, through incorporating new tech, research and equipment as part of a partnership with sleep scientist Dr. Matthew Walker.
That includes the Equinox Hotels Sleep Lab, an immersive living experiment within Equinox’s New York City hotel that will allow guests to engage with cutting-edge sleep tech and participate in studies with Dr. Walker.
