Wellsystem offers two equipment editions, building on its heritage in automated massage, each with zero compromise
Wellsystem, the Germany-based wellness equipment supplier, wants to provide as many people as possible the opportunity to experience better, longer living. That’s why the company offers its Wellsystem HydroWave touchless massage, with a variety of options that appeal to different consumer tastes and studio budgets.
“The market isn’t one-size-fits-all, and wellness shouldn’t be either,” said Andy Dunn, Wellsystem’s executive director of sales. “Operators, environments and users have very different needs, budgets and goals.”
For those reasons, Wellsystem developed the HydroWave Pure and HydroWave Pro. Both systems deliver precise, customizable water massage experiences that enhance relaxation and support lymphatic drainage, catering to a range of needs in the process.
The Pro
The HydroWave Pro offers a more high-end experience than the Pure, with the addition of more immersive settings and options.
“It was important to elevate the experience around the massage even as the massage stays the same,” Dunn said. “The massage is already uncompromising. Pro doesn’t fix it, it frames it. The distinction matters because Pro is about immersion, not correction. It’s for environments and users who want the session to become an experience, something emotionally engaging, not just physically effective.”

The Pro features an LED touchscreen control, signature multisensory hood, chromotherapy, red light, aroma infusion and a curated soundtrack designed to dissolve stress. All work in unison to quiet the nervous system while the massage increases blood flow and reduces inflammation. The experience ultimately creates consistent consumers.
“When light, sound and aroma are synchronized, the body stops bracing and starts receiving,” Dunn explained. “We’ve seen this in high-end wellness studios where users book Pro sessions not just after workouts, but on rest days purely for stress reduction.”

Dunn even noted that in some hospitality or spa settings, he’s heard stories of guests extending their spa stays specifically to repeat the experience.
“In these cases, Hydrowave shifts from something you use to something you keep coming back to,” he said. That’s the moment it becomes a ritual.”
The Pure
The HydroWave Pure makes touchless massage more accessible to the masses. Minus the multisensory hood, chromotherapy, red light, music and with a keypad rather than an LED touchscreen, it features the same core technology as the Pro and comes at a reduced price.
This distinction makes the Pure easier to integrate for newer studios or those just unready to make a major investment in wellness. The system’s ability to operate independently of any staff reinforces that as well.
“Pure was designed to remove barriers, financial, operational and perceptual,” Dunn said. “Many operators want to offer premium recovery and relaxation but face constraints around cost, staffing and complexity. Pure solves that by delivering an elite experience in a streamlined, automated and hygienic format.”

The brand insists there’s nothing added that doesn’t belong and nothing removed that matters with the Pure.
“It’s ideal for gyms, wellness centers, medical practices and hospitality environments that want high impact without high friction,” Dunn added. “It serves both the operator and the end user by making premium recovery easier to access and easier to scale.”
This low-barrier option, paired with the Pro, gives Wellsystem the means to support a variety of users with varying wellness priorities.
“By developing two distinct Hydrowave experiences, we gave partners choice without forcing tradeoffs,” Dunn said. “Pure and Pro allow facilities to meet people where they are while still delivering the same core outcome: world-class touchless water massage. Different expressions, same commitment.”
Making Inclusivity a Priority
This formula, providing quality but never at the expense of inclusivity, lies at the core of all Wellsystem operations.
“Together, Pure and Pro represent our belief that wellness should be inclusive, but never diluted,” Dunn said. “Access and excellence are not opposites.”

That same philosophy also shapes how the brand is thinking about the future of wellness and recovery — one centered around efficiency, ease of use and impactfulness.
“The future of recovery is not only still holistic in nature with human touch, but also a world of touchless, precise, automated and impactful products,” Dunn said. “By offering two experiences rooted in the same heritage, we ensure more people can benefit without lowering the bar, because wellness shouldn’t be exclusive, and excellence should never be optional.”
