As GLP-1 users and longevity-focused members enter the market, seca TRU gives operators the system they need to translate data into action — and results into revenue.

Members are no longer satisfied with fitness alone. They are coming into facilities with a different set of expectations — ones shaped as much by healthcare as by traditional gym experiences. They want personalization that goes beyond a training routine, a clearer understanding of what is happening inside their bodies, and a sense that their time in the gym is leading to measurable health and longevity outcomes.

At the same time, operators are navigating a more complex member base than ever before. The rise of GLP-1 medications has introduced a new population to fitness — individuals who are often highly motivated by outcomes but require more guidance around muscle preservation, metabolic health and long-term sustainability. This drastically increases the need for accurate baseline analytics and more precise, ongoing tracking.

“Body composition is moving from a ‘nice-to-have’ metric to a foundational pillar of the fitness experience,” says Duane Jones, General Manager, seca North America. “As members become more educated, they’re no longer satisfied with weight or BMI. They need to understand what’s actually changing in their bodies.”

That shift has led many facilities to invest in body composition technology, but the presence of data alone hasn’t solved the underlying problem. If anything, it has exposed a new one. Operators are now sitting on more information than ever yet often lack the systems to ensure that data is accurate, actionable and integrated as a meaningful part of the member journey.

This is where a more complete approach begins to take shape — one that combines medically validated data that moves with the member from onboarding through long-term engagement.

This is seca.

Turning Data into Action Across the Member Journey

The seca TRU ecosystem is preparing gyms for this next wave of members – and the  expectations that come with it.

Accuracy is the foundation of that system. In a category where small variances can lead to large misinterpretations, the ability to deliver medically validated, repeatable data becomes critical.

seca’s Analytics 125 is validated against both whole body MRI and the four-compartment model, widely considered the gold standards for measuring muscle and fat. That level of validation is rare in body composition technology and is what sets seca apart, establishing a baseline of trust for both operators and members.

“When you can measure muscle and fat, you can see the results that often go unseen, which drives long-term retention,” Jones explains.

Accuracy alone, however, is only the starting point.

“Data by itself doesn’t drive outcomes. What matters is how you activate it,” Jones says.

Within the seca TRU ecosystem, that activation begins at onboarding. Tools like Treatment Tracker allow staff to establish clear, measurable goals with members from the outset, creating a level of structure and accountability that’s often missing in traditional onboarding processes.

“Rather than a general introduction to the facility, the experience becomes anchored in specific targets tied to body composition and health outcomes,” says Jones.

The seca TRU Companion extends this even further, offering a video-based, interactive experience that guides members through self-operated scans, explains results in real time and reduces the burden on staff. Facilities can also customize the interface to highlight specific programs or services, turning what would typically be a passive measurement into an active engagement tool.

From there, the MyAnalytics member app provides ongoing access to results, allowing members to stay connected to their progress. And when members can see their data evolve and understand what it means, they’re more likely to remain invested.

AI Health Insights adds another layer by translating complex metrics into practical guidance. For many members, raw data can be difficult to interpret. By contextualizing that information into recommendations, the system helps bridge the gap between measurement and action.

Taken together — along with Challenges and the seca TRU locker room scale — these elements form a system that supports the full arc of the member experience. Data is introduced, contextualized, revisited and applied, creating a feedback loop that aligns with how behavior change actually occurs.

Built for Integration: Connecting the Full Member Experience

Another defining element of the seca TRU ecosystem is its ability to integrate seamlessly into the broader technology stack operators are already using. Through an open API and flexible integrations, seca TRU connects with member management systems and partner technologies, allowing facilities to build a fully integrated, data-driven ecosystem around the member journey.

“The future of fitness isn’t going to be built by one company. It’s going to be built through connected ecosystems,” Jones says.

seca’s partnerships with companies like EGYM and Matrix illustrate how that model plays out.

Through its integration with Matrix, the PACE (Personalized Adaptive Connected Experience) platform translates body composition data into personalized training programs, helping members move from insight to execution on the gym floor.

With EGYM, the Fitness Hub seca edition combines onboarding and strength training with validated body composition data, creating a more immediate and structured entry point for new members.

Jones explains, “In both cases, the value lies in the connection between data and action. These integrations allow body composition insights to inform programming, progression and engagement in a way that feels seamless to both staff and members.”

With a foundation of medically validated accuracy and a fully connected ecosystem, seca TRU enables gyms to turn results into revenue — and operate as the gyms of the future.

“In many ways, this is where fitness and healthcare truly begin to converge,” Jones says. “Facilities that can bridge that gap will be the ones that win, and seca TRU is built to help them do exactly that.”
