Marc Diaper Tapped as CEO of Fitness First UK

The fitness industry veteran is returning to the gym scene at Fitness First UK after exiting Gymbox last year

Fitness First UK, an operator of nearly 40 gyms offering group classes and personal training, has named Marc Diaper as its new CEO, following the departure of Justin Musgrove earlier this year.

Diaper, who will officially step into the role on July 14, according to Health Club Management, brings more than 20 years of fitness industry experience. He began his career as a personal trainer and sports therapist and most recently served as CEO of Gymbox, where he spent 14 years in various leadership roles.

“It’s great to be back, refreshed and working for one of the industry’s most iconic brands. The brand that introduced many of us to our first gym experience,” Diaper said in a LinkedIn post confirming the news. “Exciting times ahead and more motivated than ever.”

He, along with other execs, exited Gymbox last October following Urban Gym Group’s acquisition of Sparring Partners Holdings, the parent company of the London-based boutique chain.
