The game-based connected fitness brand’s latest release blends strategy, storytelling and structured cardio to boost engagement and long-term habit formation
Ergatta is deepening its bet on fitness gamification with the launch of “Endeavor,” a new strategic action game now available to all members across the brand’s connected rowing ecosystem.
The release is part of Ergatta’s broader push to make cardio training feel less like repetition and more like progression.
Known for its game-based fitness in rowing and other cardio modalities, Ergatta has built a diverse content library of interactive games, scenic rows around the world and studio-style classes. Endeavor expands that library with a format designed to merge physical intensity with tactical decision-making, positioning workouts as experiences rather than sessions to complete.
Unlike traditional interval or leaderboard-driven formats, Endeavor places members inside immersive battles set in mystical environments. As players row, they encounter increasingly powerful opponents and must adjust their rowing intensity to trigger specific in-game actions. Success depends on executing the right combination of moves at the right effort levels, turning power output and pacing into strategic tools rather than passive metrics.
“Endeavor is the result of seven years of relentless focus on one question: how do we use the power of games to make working out on a cardio machine more engaging and habit-forming?” said Ergatta co-founder and CEO Tom Aulet. “This game makes time fly by on a rowing machine faster than any other single piece of workout content I’ve ever used.”

While many of the company’s first titles drew inspiration from classic 2D scrolling and timing-based games, Endeavor blends elements of strategy games and turn-based action mechanics. That approach builds on insights from Ergatta’s 2024 release, “Wavelength,” which revealed that autonomy plays a critical role in workout enjoyment.
The new game is included with a membership and is accessible on the Ergatta Luxe and Ergatta Lite rowers, as well as compatible tablet setups including the WaterRower Upgrade Package and the Concept2 Connection Kit.
Earlier this year, Ergatta partnered with iFIT to bring its gaming content to the company’s cardio machines, including NordicTrack and ProForm equipment.
