Barry’s UK Entering Retail Space in Liverpool
The boutique fitness brand has opened a studio in Flannels department store, marking the first in-store Barry’s
Barry’s UK has moved into the retail space, launching a Red Room studio at Flannels’ new luxury shopping center in Liverpool.
The seven-story Flannels center provides an experiential shopping experience, housing restaurants, bars, fashion, and beauty spaces. The lavish retail playground is looking to wow – and share clientele by blending luxurious offerings with fitness.
If a Flannels visitor desires a HIIT workout, they can head to Barry’s 7,000-square-foot studio, located on the active and athleisure wear floor. The space accommodates up to 59 clients per class and features a protein shake bar and athletic apparel.
Barry’s UK had been eyeing opening a location in Liverpool, but the fitness brand was forced to postpone its plans due to the pandemic. Sandy Macaskill, Barry’s UK co-founder, said that the brand is focused on growth and that he’s inspired by the constant innovation of fashion.
“Opening in Liverpool inside Flannels is a new way of bringing the best workout in the world to a new community,” Macaskill told HCM Magazine. “We’ve been driven from the start to shake up the status quo and move things along, rather than doing what our peers are doing, which is why we brought Barry’s to the UK from the US in the first place.”
Barry’s will also be hosting daily pop-up classes at Ibiza’s Destino Pacha this summer.
