Backed by Maveron and Melitas Ventures, the funding will support R&D, education and growth for Veracity’s biology-first approach to metabolic wellness
Veracity, a fast-growing metabolic health startup, has raised $6 million in funding led by Maveron and Melitas Ventures, with plans to expand product innovation, research and consumer education around sustainable, root-cause wellness solutions. The company also announced Dr. Giorgio Dell’Acqua—former Nutrafol innovation lead—as its new Chief Science Officer to spearhead R&D efforts.
Founded by Allie Egan, who was inspired by her battle with Hashimoto’s, Veracity has seen explosive growth, scaling more than 30x in the past 18 months—largely thanks to its natural weight management supplement, Metabolism Ignite. The product targets a major public health gap: 93% of Americans are considered metabolically unhealthy, according to the NIH.
“Consumers want real, effective alternatives to pharmaceuticals like Ozempic,” said Jason Stoffer, partner at Maveron. “Veracity delivers with science-backed, plant-based solutions and a leadership team built to win.”
As demand for holistic wellness surges, Veracity is betting big on biology-first products that meet people where they are—offering drug-free energy, vitality and long-term results without the guesswork.
