Founded in 2022, the company said the release is designed to make it easier for developers and health innovators to turn high-quality health data from wearables and connected devices into actionable insights for fitness, wellness and even clinical care. “This release isn’t just an upgrade from the previous version. It’s a foundational shift,” Spike Technologies said in its announcement. “The next-gen API powers richer data, faster integration and AI-ready infrastructure, enabling developers to build the next-gen health applications.” Customers are already using the upgraded API in areas such as female health, remote patient care, fitness apps and wellness programs, Spike Technologies confirmed. The updated platform makes it simpler to connect data from a broader set of devices, including new support for Samsung Health, Huawei Health, Coros and Ultrahuman. Spike Technologies is also expanding its analytics. A new Sleep Score offers a quick snapshot of sleep quality while enhanced metrics such as VO₂ Max, ECG and weight provide a deeper picture of overall health.
