Nike has announced pausing the release of its sneaker launch with Travis Scott, citing the incident at Astroworld.
The sneaker, Nike x Travis Scott Air Max 270 ‘Cactus Trails,’ was slated to be released next month. A rescheduled release date hasn’t been announced.
Nike made the announcement on its website, writing, “Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival, we are postponing the launch of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack.”
The post was then removed.
Nike’s move comes in the wake of the tragedy at Astroworld that left ten dead and many injured. Scott has been listed in a $750 million lawsuit filed on behalf of 125 Astroworld victims.
