JetSet Pilates Plots Philly Takeover With Latest Franchise Deal

The red-hot Pilates brand is bringing its South Beach concept to South Street with a 12-studio franchise deal in Greater Philadelphia
JetSet Pilates is expanding into the Greater Philadelphia area through a 12-unit development deal, bringing its Miami-based Reformer Pilates experience to areas including Ardmore, Northern Liberties, Rittenhouse Square, King of Prussia and West Chester in Pennsylvania, and Cherry Hill and Marlton in New Jersey.
The expansion comes amid a broader franchising boom in Pennsylvania, with franchise businesses projected to drive 27.5% of the state’s employment growth, according to Cinch, citing data from the International Franchise Association and the Projections Managing Partnership.
“We are beyond excited to bring the JetSet experience to Philadelphia, a region that truly embraces fitness, innovation and lifestyle-forward thinking,” JetSet Pilates founder and brand president Tamara Galinsky said. “This market is a perfect match for our modern, musical approach to Pilates, and we’re committed to becoming a staple in the local wellness community.”
Music is indeed central to the JetSet Pilates experience, where 50-minute sessions blend strength, mindfulness and precision on custom high-performance Reformers, all set to DJ-curated playlists.
Elsewhere in the Northeast, JetSet Pilates has opened its first Massachusetts location in Wellesley. The studio is owned by John Onat, a former tech entrepreneur who first discovered the brand as a client and now plans to open two additional JetSet locations in the Boston area.
The popular Pilates franchise kicked off the year with a strategic investment from Purchase Capital. The funding is helping to strengthen the brand’s franchising systems, instructor training and customer experience. Nicholas J. Singer, founder and managing partner of Purchase Capital, has joined JetSet’s board as part of the transaction.
