The Pilates brand is adding as many as 30 locations across the greater Chicago and Boston areas as it continues its nationwide expansion, including in key markets

Fast-growing boutique franchise JetSet Pilates is increasing its presence in two key metropolitan areas, with dozens of locations planned across Chicago and Boston.

In the Midwest, the brand has 18 locations in development from Naperville to Libertyville and throughout Chicago, signing multiple multi-unit and single-unit agreements.

“Chicago is a sophisticated, fitness-forward market with strong neighborhood identity and a consumer base that understands and values premium boutique fitness,” said JetSet Pilates chief strategy officer Natalie Straub. “These multi-unit agreements demonstrate strong franchisee confidence and accelerate our ability to bring Jetset’s elevated Pilates experience to more communities across Chicagoland.”

JetSet pinpointed Chicago as a high-demand area for both boutique Pilates experiences and franchise interest.

As part of JetSet’s franchise-focused strategy to scale across high-density, wellness-driven communities, the brand is also growing its East Coast presence with 8-12 new studios across the greater Boston area, targeting neighborhoods such as Back Bay, South End, Seaport, Cambridge and Newton, along with upper-class suburban communities.

Given Boston’s educated population, higher average household incomes and wellness-centered culture, JetSet identified an advantageous growth opportunity with strong demand for premium, community-driven fitness experiences.

“Boston stands out as a market that naturally aligns with the JetSet brand,” said CEO Bert Albertse. “There’s a strong appetite for premium wellness experiences here and we see meaningful opportunities to grow in communities that value both fitness and lifestyle.”

Currently, the brand only has one studio in the Wellesley neighborhood, so the expansion would meaningfully increase its reach among Bostonians.

“We see significant long-term opportunity across the Boston market,” said JetSet Pilates founder and brand president, Tamara Galinsky. “With Wellesley already introducing the brand to the region, we’re focused on building thoughtfully across the metro and partnering with experienced franchisees who share our vision for premium fitness and community-driven growth.”

The expansion comes soon after a strategic investment from Purchase Capital, which is helping fuel the brand’s franchising capabilities, instructor training programs and overall studio experiences, which center around DJ-curated music paired with its Pilates workouts, creating a high-energy environment.

As Pilates booms across the U.S., JetSet counts over 50 open studios, according to its website, with 270 total studios either open or in development.
