In celebration of Pilates’ peak era, Club Pilates is once again hosting its annual 80s Week Event. Instructors and attendees can participate in themed classes highlighting different staples of the 1980s — from big hair and neon colors to aerobics.

The event — which takes place from September 25th to October 10th — includes two separate sweepstakes for the chance to win a trip to Los Angeles to attend several exclusive events, including an 80s-themed roller rink party. The sweepstakes is open to anyone living in the U.S. and Canada.

The first sweepstakes is open to the public, with participants needing to do the following steps to enter:

  1. Post a video or photo of your favorite Pilates move on TikTok or Instagram
  2. Use the hashtag #ClubPilates80sSweepstakes
  3. Tag @clubpilates on Instagram or @clubpilatesnational on TikTok
  4. Follow @clubpilates on Instagram or @clubpilatesnational on TikTok

Twenty winners will receive round-trip airfare to Los Angeles from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada, in addition to hotel accommodations and access to Club Pilates events.

Additionally, a second sweepstakes is being conducted exclusively for Pilates instructors, who must:

  1. Post a video to Instagram or TikTok sharing “Why I became a Pilates Instructor”
  2. Use the hashtag #ClubPilatesGlowAndTellSweepstakes
  3. Tag @clubpilates on Instagram or @clubpilatesnational on TikTok
  4. Follow @clubpilates on Instagram or @clubpilatesnational on TikTok

Ten instructors will also receive round-trip airfare to Los Angeles, hotel accommodations, and access to instructor-only events.

The event is helping Club Pilates maintain momentum from its highly successful first large-scale experiential event this past summer. The Pilates Body Challenge ran from June 1 through August 31, during which over 136,000 participants completed at least 30 Pilates classes at the studios for a chance to win a year of free Club Pilates. The challenge was inspired by the exercise’s creator, Joseph Pilates, who allegedly said it takes 30 sessions to build a “whole new body.”

As the 80s Week Event kicks off, Club Pilates is betting on both instructor and member engagement to take part in one of the largest Pilates celebrations, while continuing its aim to build a sense of community around the highly popular form of exercise.
