Wattbike debuts its Healthspan Score, a new feature that makes longevity a measurable part of connected fitness

Wattbike is making a play for the longevity crowd.

The indoor cycling brand, recently acquired by Interactive Strength Inc., parent company of Clmbr and Forme, has introduced the Healthspan Score, a new metric designed to translate cardiorespiratory fitness data into an actionable number generated in just six minutes.

The score reflects how efficiently the heart, lungs and muscles work together during exercise, a marker strongly linked to long-term health outcomes. To generate it, users complete the Healthspan Check workout, a fully guided sub-maximal session that doesn’t require riders to reach exhaustion.

The feature is now live on Wattbike’s Performance Touchscreen 2 and was recently showcased at Elevate 2025. A broader rollout to Wattbike’s free Hub app is expected soon, extending access to both home users and club members.

“Data only makes a difference when it drives action,” Wattbike’s lead sport scientist Eddie Fletcher said. “And it only leads to action when people understand it. It helps people understand not just how fit they are but what that means for their long-term health. Because it’s grounded in validated VO₂ max science and easy to use without specialist input, it’s a trusted tool for operators and a motivational milestone for users. This isn’t just training for performance, this is training to live better, longer.”

Wattbike is positioning the Healthspan Score as more than just a consumer feature. For gym operators, independent trainers and studio owners, it offers a measurable way to track client progress and customize programming, especially as longevity becomes a bigger focus in the fitness industry.

“The fitness industry is evolving, and longevity is the new frontier,” Wattbike’s commercial sales director Sam Theyers said. “With the Healthspan Score, we’re giving our partners from boutique studios to large gym chains a powerful way to deliver what people truly want: more healthy years of life. And yet, it’s more than a life-changing benchmark; it’s also a business tool that drives retention, adds value to memberships and helps clubs prove they’re improving lives in a measurable, science-backed way.”
