Want to Pump Iron with Arnold Schwarzenegger?

Arnold’s Pump Club has launched the “Iron Ticket,” offering dedicated app users the chance to fly out and train with the fitness legend

A year after Arnold Schwarzenegger officially launched The Pump, a fitness app centered on positivity and community, the weightlifting legend is on the hunt for three dedicated users every quarter to award a plane ticket and fly to train with him in person.

Dubbed the “Iron Ticket,” the challenge is unlike others, as it will be ongoing. Contestants need compelling success stories, but the opportunity is intentionally inclusive, awarding committed beginners, intermediate and advanced fitness enthusiasts.

“I don’t want this to be the standard fitness challenge that just awards the fit getting fitter,” Schwarzenegger wrote in his newsletter. “I want this to be for everyone, no matter where your starting line is. Whether you’re doing your first-ever chair squats or squatting 500 pounds, as long as you’re working to be better every day, you’re eligible. I want you to choose fitness for life, and that’s why the Iron Ticket will just keep going.”

The catch? Users can’t cheat, Schwarzenegger explains, as contestants will be vetted through verification of their in-app workouts.

“Is this crazy? I don’t know,” he wrote. “I tend to believe in the old quote that crazy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. It’s why we do things differently at The Pump.”
