Flock Run will combine group runs, recovery experiences and live performances as celebrities increasingly tap into the social fitness boom

Waka Flocka Flame is getting into the run club game, but with a concert-ready twist.

The Grammy-nominated rap artist and entrepreneur is launching Flock Run, a multi-city event series combining community group runs with DJ sets, recovery experiences and live performances from Waka Flocka himself.

The series will kick off Aug. 30 in Atlanta before heading to Scottsdale, Arizona, on Oct. 17 and Charlotte, North Carolina, on Nov. 14.

Flock Run is already planning a larger expansion next year. At the Scottsdale stop in October, organizers plan to unveil the full 2027 schedule, which is expected to include eight to 10 events.

Each event follows a similar format, beginning with a community-led run before transitioning into a DJ-hosted recovery session and closing performance from Waka Flocka.

The Atlanta debut, hosted at Block and Drum, will begin with an 11:30 a.m. group run, followed by a DJ set and recovery lounge before Waka Flocka takes the stage at 1 p.m.

Flock Run is being supported by several fitness and wellness brands, including functional gum and mint brand Neuro Gum and fitness community platform SweatPals, which will support event promotion, host activation and co-marketing.

Atlanta Run Club will serve as the official run club partner for the first stop, leading pace groups and community engagement, while Well Social Co. will operate the event’s recovery lounge.

As of Monday, the Atlanta event was almost sold out with nearly 1,500 registrations.

The launch comes as run clubs continue to evolve beyond straightforward group workouts into broader social and wellness experiences — and as celebrities increasingly look to get in on the action.

Waka Flocka isn’t the first musician to turn running into an experiential fitness event. Diplo launched Diplo’s Run Club in 2024, blending 5Ks with live music and drawing more than 20,000 participants during its first season.

The celebrity interest comes amid a larger shift in how consumers, particularly Gen Z and Millennials, engage with fitness. Run clubs and other social fitness gatherings have increasingly become “third spaces” where workouts overlap with entertainment, community and brand experiences.

Flock Run pushes that concept even further, effectively turning the traditional run club into a traveling fitness-and-music event.

Registration and additional details for the initial stops will be released through Flock Run event pages and SweatPals.
