Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The U.S.-based Sunny Health & Fitness says the deal supports its connected fitness strategy, which combines its strength and cardio equipment, education and community through its SunnyFit app. The platform gives users access to thousands of guided workouts, progress-tracking metrics and global routes. “By combining the strengths of Sunny and JLL, we are poised to enhance our product offerings, expand our international reach and deliver even greater value to our customers,” CEO John Sun tells Athletech News. credit: Sunny Health & Fitness Last month, Sunny Health & Fitness added Wi-Fi-enabled treadmills to its collection, which integrates with the SunnyFit app and connects to TVs for a more immersive fitness experience. In October, Fitnessmith—a leading provider of fitness equipment sales and services—acquired the commercial equipment, preventive maintenance, and service divisions of Gym Source USA. Meanwhile, New Jersey-based consumer product company C+A Global acquired Power Systems and Dynamax, two established names in fitness and athletic performance gear. Additionally, Interactive Strength Inc., the parent company of Climbr and Force, acquired Germany-based Sportstech, a connected fitness and equipment brand, and, more recently, indoor cycling giant Wattbike.
