Sarah Michelle Gellar Slays Meal Planning with MyFitnessPal

The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star has teamed with MyFitnessPal to simplify healthy eating and share her favorite nutritious recipes
MyFitnessPal has introduced a new feature — Meal Planner — designed to ease the burden of time-consuming meal prep while helping users eat healthier and save money. The nutrition and food tracking app has enlisted actress Sarah Michelle Gellar to help introduce the new Meal Planner, which is available to its Premium+ members.
Meal Planner users can input their goals, budget, dietary preferences and household size to generate a personalized weekly meal plan, complete with a grocery list. Meals can then be logged directly into the MyFitnessPal app for easy nutrition tracking.
“As a busy mom of two and a diehard foodie, I know how daunting and exhausting it can be to face the dreaded question, ‘What’s for dinner?'” Gellar said. “That’s why I love MyFitnessPal’s Meal Planner tool—it not only saves me time and takes the stress out of figuring out dinner but also provides personalized, creative inspiration in a practical way. It makes it so much easier to put healthy, delicious meals on the table and leaves me with more quality time to spend with my family.”

The app has more than 1,500 recipes available, including Gellar’s high-protein Buddha Bowl, Blueberry Almond Overnight Oats and Southwest Turkey Zucchini Boats.
“Planning meals doesn’t have to be stressful,” MyFitnessPal CEO Mike Fisher said. “With Meal Planner, we’re making it easy for people to enjoy tasty, balanced meals that fit their goals and lifestyle–especially amid rising food costs and an increasingly fast-paced world. By simplifying the meal planning process, we aim to help members make the most of their time, stick to their budget and stay on track with their health goals.”
In addition to Meal Planner, MyFitnessPal Premium members have access to tools like Meal Scan, Barcode Scan and Voice Log for easy tracking.
Last month, MyFitnessPal and ABC Fitness announced a wide-ranging partnership that gives gyms and trainers access to clients’ food diaries, enabling hyper-personalized guidance to improve member outcomes and boost engagement. The collaboration is set to support more than 300 million people across 100+ countries.
