With up to 12 daily classes, coat check and dedicated front desk staff to call Uber, Reforming Pilates is gearing up to a high-touch fitness experience to the Upper East Side
Reforming Pilates, a boutique fitness brand known for its consistently waitlisted classes in South Florida, is making its New York City debut later this month with a new flagship studio opening May 25 at 1305 2nd Avenue on the Upper East Side.
Founded in July 2022, the New York City location follows Reforming Pilates’ locations in Florida’s Bay Harbor Islands, Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. The boutique Pilates brand confirms that plans are already underway to expand heavily on the East Coast and in the Northeast.

At 2,000 square feet, the new two-story location is Reforming Pilates’ largest to date. Designed with the brand’s signature clean aesthetic with light tones and open space, the studio features two levels of Pilates reformers, with 10 machines per floor. A separate private studio with its own entrance will cater to one-on-one sessions.
Group classes run every hour on the hour—up to 12 one-hour sessions daily—ranging from beginner to advanced, and feature Balanced Body reformer machines along with Bala props. Its unique experience also includes 24/7 on-site security, coat check and front desk support for calling ride shares—part of the brand’s commitment to making every client feel like a VIP and touches that could certainly impress The Fit Guide.

“We are so excited to return to our roots and give New York City something it’s been missing! I lived in the Upper East Side – right down the street from the location – for a portion of my life, so it feels like a full circle moment to be opening a studio here,” Reforming Pilates owner and co-founder Genevieve Ross said. “Our studio will bring New Yorkers a unique and boutique experience with hands-on adjustments from our expert instructors, plenty of space to move your body throughout the class and of course, an intense workout that will have you shaking – in the best way possible.”
Drop-in classes begin at $50 for a 60-minute session, with class packages also available.
