Peloton In-Person Studio Grand Reopening Taking Place August 19
Pelotoners looking for a live, in-person fitness experience are ecstatic about Peloton studio reopening – and even crashed Peloton’s booking page
Exciting news for Pelotoners: the connected fitness company has announced a grand reopening date for Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) and Peloton Studios London (PSL). The fitness studios will officially reopen to the public on August 19.
Peloton enthusiasts can book a class on the website, but many are reporting website crashes. The fitness giant stated at the top of its booking page that it is currently experiencing issues due to high traffic. Classes are first come, first served, but members can join a waitlist. Peloton noted that the classes book six weeks in advance.
Cycling, running, strength, and yoga classes are on the schedule and Peloton members are requested to arrive 1 hour to 45 minutes prior to class in order to sign a waiver and get settled in before class.
“It’s go time, Peloton fam. Live in-studio classes are back and better than ever. We’ve missed your energy, and we’re ready for more of that IRL magic live from London and New York. Classes begin 19 August. Booking starts now…,” Peloton shared on Instagram to promote the reopening. The connected fitness firm has scheduled soft reopening/member preview days and emailed details to some select members.
Those who are able to book a class are in for a treat. The state-of-the-art fitness studio offers an all-inclusive experience, with the latest Peloton hardware and complimentary cycling shoes, weights, yoga mats, and other accessories for members. There are water filling stations and complimentary towels for post-class freshening up and deluxe locker rooms that are equipped with showers, complimentary Malin + Goetz skincare products, Dyson hair dryers, and keyless lockers.
After a workout, members can enjoy relaxing in a posh Members Lounge area where they have the opportunity to grab a photo with Peloton instructors and enjoy light food and beverage offerings at the wellness bar,
The New York and London studio locations also boast a Peloton retail store.
Following the initial reopening on August 19, Peloton live in-studio classes are expected to be available to members Friday through Sunday each week, with Monday through Thursday reserved for “coach-to-camera” classes, according to PeloBuddy.
The connected fitness company recently announced a shift to third-party manufacturing in order to simplify its supply chain and structure, allowing Peloton to focus on technology and content.
Peloton’s newest CEO, Barry McCarthy, has stated that he is there “for the comeback story,” and has consistently expressed optimism for the company. Peloton recently repriced its stock options and announced plans to give cash bonuses to employees to boost morale.
