Life Time To Compete With Hyrox, Launches LT Games & $20K Prize Pool
With athletes craving new challenges, Life Time is set to debut LT Games, a 17-stage competition supported by dedicated training classes
Life Time is expanding its presence in the hybrid fitness space with the debut of its LT Games, a 17-stage competition with a “choose-your-own-adventure” twist that leverages Life Time’s premium athletic country clubs and coaching to prepare contestants.
The competition arrives as races, fitness challenges and in-person events surge in popularity, giving fitness consumers experiences they can train for and milestones to strive toward.
The upcoming event, presented by performance apparel brand Ten Thousand, will take place October 25–26 at Life Time Target Center in Minneapolis. Registration is open to both members and non-members and builds on Life Time’s other athletic events, such as the LT Open singles tournament for pickleball and HPLT, its newly-acquired high-performance training program.
Participants will move through a series of challenges that combine treadmill runs, rowing, ski erg intervals and weighted lifts. Each stage uses a weight-to-repetition scaling system that lets athletes choose heavier weights with fewer reps or lighter weights with more volume, a format Life Time says balances intensity with accessibility and ensures the competition is equitable.
“The vision for Life Time’s LT Games is to set a new standard in the hybrid competition space with top-tier experiences through our premium clubs, our incredible coaches, training programs and unmatched equipment to set us apart,” LT Games Race Director Wes Robertson said. “This event is the result of months of testing to ensure a fair, repeatable format, including consistent judging standards, that truly challenges athletes. It’s also a great experience for spectators, with layouts that make it easy to follow and cheer on an athlete.”
