Hopeless Records has partnered with fitness music platform Feed.fm to launch Hopeless Pop-Punk Cardio, a limited-edition workout station that will bring music from All Time Low, Avenged Sevenfold, Pvris and other alternative acts to digital fitness platforms. The station is rolling out across Feed.fm-powered apps including Kendall Toole’s NKO Club and Echelon, giving the independent label another avenue to put its catalog in front of listeners while offering fitness brands a genre built around high-energy tracks and anthemic choruses. For Toole, whose affinity for rock and pop-punk became a defining part of her fitness persona during her time as a Peloton instructor, the partnership is a natural fit. “Pop-punk has always been the sound of getting back up when life knocks you down, and Hopeless’s music is a huge part of what makes my community feel like home for whenever they need that push and energy to stay in the fight,” Toole, the founder and CEO of NKO Club, said. NKO Club features a music menu that allows users to select different soundtracks for Toole’s classes. Members will now be able to choose the limited-edition Hopeless station across the platform’s workout offerings. Toole is expected to promote the station to her community, similar to NKO Club’s recent rollout of a Madonna-inspired music station. Founded in 1993, Hopeless Records has helped shape pop-punk and alternative music through releases from artists including All Time Low, Avenged Sevenfold, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, Bayside and Neck Deep. Hopeless Pop-Punk Cardio pairs those established names with newer releases from artists including Pinkshift, PVRIS and Scene Queen, with the station curated around faster tempos, high-intensity guitar riffs and choruses suited to cardio workouts. credit: Hopeless Records/feed.fm The station will also be available through connected fitness brand Echelon. “Pop-punk has always been the music that makes me want to dance, scream, and get out all my feelings, so it’s the perfect genre for my workouts,” Echelon instructor Jama Oliver said. Feed.fm handles music licensing, rights management and delivery for digital platforms, while its Sizzle Stations give fitness brands access to fully cleared, curated stations. The collaboration also comes as pop-punk continues to find an audience beyond the fans who grew up with the genre, giving Hopeless an opportunity to pair decades-old favorites with artists from its current roster. “Hopeless gets real amplification for its catalog, and our fitness customers get a station built to motivate,” Feed.fm vice president of music affairs Bryn Boughton said. “That’s the mutual benefit we look for in every partnership, and this one delivers.” “We’re excited to work with Feed.fm on bringing a pop-punk soundtrack (and maybe a new favorite artist) to your next workout,” Hopeless Records general manager Erin Choi added.
