The low-price fitness franchise plans to expand to at least 75 clubs across India in the coming years. It’s also eyeing other foreign markets

Crunch Fitness has opened its first location in India, unveiling a 6,500-square-foot gym in Nodia that brings the high-value, low-price (HVLP) gym brand’s “No Judgments” vibes to the market.

A second Noida location is slated to open in January, with additional gyms planned for 2026. Crunch Fitness says it intends to open at least 75 clubs across India in the coming years.

Crunch’s India debut comes as the country’s fitness market prepares for major growth, fueled in part by its growing disposable incomes. According to a recent Deloitte India and Health & Fitness Association report, the nation’s fitness industry is projected to more than double by 2030, from $1.9 billion to $4.5 billion.

The fitness franchisor also confirmed it’s in discussions with prospective partners in Southeast Asia, Europe and Latin America.

“We’re excited to open our first Crunch club in India and bring the brand to the rapidly growing base of fitness enthusiasts in this country,” John Kersh, Crunch Fitness managing director of international development, said.

The new club mirrors the offerings found in Crunch’s U.S. locations, featuring the brand’s HIITZone, Relax and Recover space, group fitness classes and a full range of strength and cardio equipment outfitted by Life Fitness / Hammer Strength.
