Output Sports has partnered with Chris Hemsworth-founded fitness brand Centr to bring performance testing and data-driven athlete profiling into Hyrox-specific training environments. The partnership combines Centr’s Hyrox competition equipment and training system with Output Sports’ testing technology, allowing athletes to assess their strength, power, conditioning and movement capabilities and use the results to inform their training. The companies say the goal is to move Hyrox preparation beyond race times and subjective feedback, giving athletes and coaches more precise information about strengths, weaknesses and progress. “Centr has created the equipment to replicate the demands of Hyrox, while Output provides the testing, objective data and performance insight to help athletes understand what that training is delivering,” Output Sports founder Martin O’Reilly said. “The result is a much more connected approach to preparation, where athletes can test, understand, train and measure their progress.” At the center of the partnership is Output Sports’ Hyrox Conditioning Test (HCT), which measures physical qualities including aerobic capacity, muscular endurance and power and produces a Hyrox Conditioning Score. Output Sports developed the test in partnership with Hyrox365, the fitness racing brand’s training and education ecosystem. The sports-tech company is also Hyrox365’s official athlete testing and benchmarking partner. Athletes can supplement the HCT with Output Sports sensor-based assessments for more detailed insights into strength, power and movement. The partnership is designed to turn those results into actionable training recommendations rather than simply producing a score. Athlete profiles can identify areas for improvement and point users toward programming and equipment intended to address those weaknesses. For gyms, the technology could also provide a way to assess members, recommend Hyrox-specific training and demonstrate progress over time. “Partnering with Output Sports adds the objective data that shows athletes and coaches exactly what that training is delivering,” Centr CEO Andrew Sugerman said. “The combination is what matters: the right equipment and the right technology.” Centr serves as Hyrox’s official competition equipment provider, producing equipment designed specifically for the fitness racing format. The brand pairs its equipment with Hyrox-focused programming through its connected training ecosystem and Centr app. The partnership will bring performance testing and athlete profiling into Hyrox-specific training environments, enabling more personalized programming Hyrox athletes are getting another tool to measure...
