Select YogaSix Studios Participate in Veterans Gratitude Week
Yoga for Good: The Xponential Fitness-backed yoga franchise is hosting donation-based yoga classes at select studios
YogaSix, one of several fitness brands under Xponential Fitness, is supporting Veterans Gratitude Week at select studios.
From November 8 to 17, participating YogaSix studios are hosting donation-based yoga classes in honor of their ongoing partnership with the Veterans Yoga Project (VYP), which provides resources and programs to support the mental and physical well-being of veterans and their families.
The mission holds special meaning for Tim Brown, a retired U.S. Navy chief operations specialist and a YogaSix multi-unit franchise owner.
“Veterans are heroes who sacrifice everything to protect the nation and families they love,” Brown said. “Honoring, serving, and remembering Veterans must be a nation’s top priority. For without such heroes, the nation would not exist. We are honored to invite Veterans into our YogaSix studios this year and every year to feel the positive impact of yoga and the communities that our studios create.”
Lindsay Junk, YogaSix president, emphasized the modern yoga boutique brand belief in the transformative power of yoga to heal and restore.
“Through our partnership with Veterans Yoga Project, we’re offering veterans and their families a path toward wellness and resilience,” Junk said. ‘This is a profound opportunity for our YogaSix community to honor those who have served by helping to make a positive difference in their lives.”
Veterans Yoga Project founder, CEO and clinical psychologist Dr. Daniel Libby thanked the yoga franchise for its support of veterans.
“Yoga and mindfulness practices are invaluable tools for veterans struggling with PTS(D) and other challenges,” Dr. Libby said. “We’re deeply grateful to YogaSix for their support in bringing these resources to those who need them most.”
The franchised yoga brand recently expanded beyond North America, opening a studio in Frankfurt, Germany and is set to grow in Japan. YogaSix offers several options across heated and non-heated classes, including Y6 Hot, Y6 101, Y6 Restore, Y6 Power, Y6 Sculpt & Flow, Y6 TRX, Y6 Slow Flow and Y6 Mix.
