The redesigned “Insights 2.0” dashboard aims to help boutique fitness studios drive sales and retention through next-level data and ease of use

Xplor Mariana Tek, a leading fitness software platform for boutique fitness studios, announced the rollout of “Insight 2.0,” which the company describes as a unique, data-driven dashboard that “allows studio operators to review key business statistics at a glance and make fast, data-informed decisions about scheduling, staffing and marketing, improving their conversion, retention and revenue.”

The upgrade is anchored by two key features: ease of use and actionable insights.

The company said Insights 2.0 data “is delivered front and center on the Xplor Mariana Tek homepage owners see daily, embedding it into their day-to-day workflow.” This includes real-time views of sales, class attendance, active memberships and first-time visits, among other KPIs.

Insights 2.0 also includes sorting functionality such as revenue for memberships, products and gift cards. The platform also allows studio owners to dig deeper into membership status and sort by active, frozen and ended memberships over time. The platform can also create a quick overview of member cohorts who are generating the most revenue. There are also performance metrics such as class attendance and utilization, as well as late-cancellation rates.

“Insights 2.0 surfaces all the data in one place, eliminating the need for exporting multiple spreadsheets, digging through disconnected reports and piecing together insights, all of which are common pain points in any other fitness studio management software,” the company said.

The launch of Insights 2.0 arrives as the boutique fitness industry experiences impressive growth. According to data from Metastat, the boutique fitness market in the U.S. is pegged to reach $12.9 billion by 2032 — growing at a compounded annual growth rate of 12.8% from 2025 to 2032. But such revenue growth doesn’t guarantee profitability.

During the HFA Show earlier this year, Lise Kuecker, founder and CEO of Studio Grow, revealed some sobering insights.

“At the end of 2023, a really staggering statistic was released that 91.2% of boutique fitness studios were not sustainably profitable,” Kuecker told the audience during a panel discussion. “We roll past this all through 2024, and the number is correct. In fact, I think we can definitely say it is not changing. One in two studios is profitable. It is the biggest issue that we have in our industry today.”

What is to blame? Client retention, Kuecker said.

And this is where technology such as Insights 2.0 comes into play. By offering data and key KPIs, the platform can help studio owners make more informed decisions, and do so in an easy way.

“High-level trends displayed on the Insights 2.0 dashboard are easy to understand, and clicking into a KPI will expose the details behind the numbers and what’s driving the trends,” the company said. “Operators will easily be able to tell which memberships, classes, and introductory offers are performing well for their business and what adjustments should be made to improve utilization and revenue, based on the data.”

And it is scalable. “Large multi-site operators will be able to see high-level performance and will also be able to drill down into location-specific insights,” the company said.

To find the right KPIs and data points most relevant to a studio business, the development team at Xplor Mariana Tek conducted extensive research, working closely with more than 100 clients “to determine the six key data points that make a real difference: total sales, active memberships, intro offers sold, attendance, first visits and class utilization.”

The company said these six metrics work together in a daily diagnostic system “to help customers understand if they’re acquiring and converting enough new leads, optimizing class attendance, and if their studio is growing financially,” the company noted, adding that competitors still relying “on basic reports will find it increasingly difficult to match such fast, forward-thinking analytics.”

Shannon Tracey, vice president of sales and marketing for Mariana Tek, said the company partnered with thousands of studios, “so we know exactly which metrics move the needle on success.”

“Our new insights dashboard puts those KPIs in the spotlight — surfacing trends, revealing patterns, and making it simple for owners to act fast,” Tracey explained. “This launch is another step in our mission to empower studio leaders with intuitive, powerful tools that turn data into momentum. Because when owners spend less time digging through numbers, they have more time to do what they do best — cultivate thriving member relationships and make a lasting impact in their fitness communities.”
