Whoop Launches Blood Testing Platform Following Quest Deal

As the wearable company aims to add “One Billion Healthy Years” to people’s lives, its new bloodwork feature provides data and clinician-driven insights for members

To keep up with the growing desire for in-depth personalized health data, Whoop has launched Advanced Labs, which combines blood testing with insights from its wearable. Users can either upload previous bloodwork or schedule a curated test through the company’s Advanced Labs panel, powered by Quest Diagnostics.

With the launch, Whoop aims to give members a holistic, centralized picture of their health through the combined tools of bloodwork data and the continuous monitoring their devices already provide. The bloodwork report can provide insights into areas such as cholesterol, hormone health, vitamin and mineral levels and blood glucose levels.

The release was already highly anticipated by current Whoop users — the company reports that since previewing the feature in May, over 350,000 Whoop members have signed up for the waitlist.

Whoop Advanced Labs bridges two worlds: lab diagnostics and 24/7 continuous monitoring,” said Will Ahmed, founder and CEO of Whoop. “For the first time, our members can see how their blood biomarkers and daily behaviors connect in real time. This is all part of our path to becoming a health operating system that helps our members live better and longer.”

The platform includes: clinician-reviewed bloodwork results to provide both expert context and individualized recommendations; AI-powered coaching for daily guidance and health insights; and progress tracking that reflects how lifestyle adjustments impact biomarkers over time.

The Whoop Medical Advisory Board — made up of doctors, researchers and medical professionals — oversaw the feature’s development, including Dr. Hazel Wallace, who specializes in nutrition.

“Bloodwork can sometimes leave people with more questions than answers,” Dr. Wallace said. “Whoop Advanced Labs helps bridge that gap by putting health insights directly into the hands of the individual, where habits can make a powerful difference.”

The launch follows Whoop’s announcement earlier this year of its long-term goal to add “One Billion Healthy Years” to people’s lives. The company’s aspirational target leans into the growing fitness and wellness trend of focusing on healthspan — the number of healthy years free from chronic disease, functional decline and preventable limitations.

For members who choose to schedule curated blood tests within the Whoop app, results are automatically synced to the app and reviewed by a clinician. One test costs $199, two tests per year for $349, or four tests per year for $599, with additional tests available at discounted rates. However, tests first need to be reviewed and ordered by a licensed healthcare provider.

U.S.-based members can begin using the feature, while international users will have to wait for the upcoming global rollout.
