Universal Pictures is leaning into the creator-led fitness economy, tapping Sudor’s all-in-one platform to scale apps like “Own Your Goals” by Davina McCall and expand its wellness reach
Universal Pictures Content Group has teamed up with fast-growing tech platform Sudor to scale its portfolio of fitness and wellness apps, signaling a push into the booming creator-led digital fitness economy.
The first app to migrate to Sudor’s platform will be “Own Your Goals” by Davina McCall, which already counts a 300,000-strong community. The move highlights Sudor’s ability to deliver branded, subscription-based apps with retention rates topping 94%, according to the company.
With consumers increasingly seeking flexible, personalized wellness experiences, Universal sees an opportunity to empower talent beyond traditional media. The partnership reflects broader shifts in fitness consumption, accelerated by pandemic habits, evolving expectations and the rapid rise of influencer-led programs, the sides said.
According to Goldman Sachs, the creator economy is surging toward a projected $500 billion by 2027.
Sudor positions itself as an all-in-one technology solution powering the “next generation of fitness, wellness, and content-led apps.” It offers everything from payments and content management to in-app communities and wearables integration.
The company’s model is designed to help influencers and wellness professionals move beyond social platforms by giving them control over their business, subscriber data and revenue. By taking care of the tech, Sudor enables creators to focus on content and community while building sustainable subscription-driven brands.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with Universal to help scale Own Your Goals,” said Sudor co-founder and CEO Emma Heap. “It’s one of the U.K.’s leading wellness apps for women, already making a meaningful impact on tens of thousands of lives.”
